Hear Your Story is built for families across generations, including many people in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. Making the service usable by everyone — including people with disabilities — is central to who we serve, not an afterthought.
We are committed to providing a website and application that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review the service and work to improve the experience for all users, and we recognize that some areas may not yet fully meet every guideline.
Some content is created by our users (for example, uploaded photos and voice recordings) and may not include text descriptions or captions. Portions of the experience also rely on third-party services. Where a third party controls accessibility, we encourage and rely on their conformance, and we are happy to help you find an alternative way to complete any task.
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Hear Your Story. If you encounter a barrier, need information in a different format, or need help completing any task, please contact us — we will do our best to assist you and to address the issue.
